Help me do my homework…

I am taking speech this semester and my first assignment will be due in two weeks. I have to give an introductory speech about a song lyric, quote or object that represents me and why. I’m drawing a blank on what would represent me. I’m not fishing for compliments here, but I’d appreciate suggestions!
I don’t think anyone who knows you, loves you and reads your blog will disagree that you are incredibly loving and giving…you are there for your friends any and every time they need you.
For those reasons, I choose the chorus from “The Power of Two” by the Indigo Girls.
So we’re okay
We’re fine
Baby I’m here to stop your crying
Chase all the ghosts from your head
I’m stronger than the monster beneath your bed
Smarter than the tricks played on your heart
We’ll look at them together then we’ll take them apart
Adding up the total of a love that’s true
Multiply life by the power of two
Along those same lines, you could use Heather Nova’s “Heart and Shoulder.”
I’ll give you my heart,
Give you my shoulder,
Time and again,
Over and over…
Or 10,000 Maniacs’ “Trouble Me”
Trouble me
Disturb me
With all your cares
And your worries
Speak to me
Let me know
Where the hurt is
And how to heal
Or you could choose a broom to represent you because you are a clean freak! 🙂
Ah, thanks guys! Amy the broom idea is funny because I actually thought of that! If we use an object we have to take it to class and I didn’t want to carry a broom around all day. Maybe I could take a picture of one though!
Well, if a broom is too bulky, you could always take a can of Pledge. 😀
